Proper management of the Emergence and Cervical Profile can allow proper control of the location of the Plaque zone in relation to Implant Platform and Crown’s cervical margin.
Allowing the Plaque zone to be established coronally and laterally will keep it away from the implant platform/crestal bone area and in proximity to crown’s cervical margin so that the patient can disturb the bacteria present when applying oral hygiene.
This can be one of the fundamental steps in preventing Peri-implantitis development. This can not be achieved with a stock healing abutment, or even a not properly designed anatomical healing abutment.

Cervico System can be used for both anterior and posterior cases, providing the foundation for exceptional aesthetic and biologically solid results.
Cervico Guide
The guide of the system (Cervico Guide) is used for the evaluation of a patient’s edentulous space in order to choose the appropriate size and shape cervico healing abutment and duplicate impression post to be manufactured from the mold of the system, as they relate to the cervical margin of the desired implant prosthesis.
In addition, the tabs of the guide and/or the pins of the guide, individually or in combination, may be used during the osteotomy preparation in the patient’s jaw for the purpose of marking the correct position of the osteotomy and controlling the inclination of the latter during the steps of bone drilling. All functional parts of the guide can be re-used after proper disinfection and sterilisation process.
This tool can be used for the:
- Cervical profile evaluation of the implant site/prosthesis
- Marking or initiation of the implant osteotomy
- Evaluation of available mesio-distal space and indirect correlation to proper implant platform size
- Evaluation of the available interocclusal space
The Cervico Depth Gauge can be used to evaluate the:
- Distance between the implant platform and cervical profile margin
- Depth of implant placement
- Supra-crestal gingival height
- Available inter-occlusal space
Cervico Premium Mould
The mould of the system (Cervico Mould) is used for the manufacturing of the cervico healing abutments and duplicate impression posts, that resemble the cervical profile of the desired implant prosthesis. All functional parts of the mould (base, silicone insert) can be re-used after proper disinfection and a sterilisation process following the same standards as for sterilisation process of reusable dental tools.
Each of the tabs of the guide has a shape and dimensions that are the same to the cervical portion of a corresponding well of the mould that carries the same coding as the one of the tab to which it corresponds. E.g. If the tab (pS) of the guide has been chosen as the one representing best the cervical profile of an implant site, then the (pS) well of the mould must be used in order to produce the custom healing abutment and it’s duplicate impression post to be utilised for this case.
How it works:
The top ring of the base carries a letter coding that corresponds to the shape and size of the well of the silicone insert.
The bottom ring of the base displays a number coding that corresponds to the VPI Prosthetic connection Insert installed into the base. (The VPI Prosthetic onnection inserts are the elements used to make the Premium mould compatible with the implant system you use. They are NOT implant analogues. Instead, they are components with unique features fabricated and distributed by VP Innovato Holdings Ltd.)
The top ring of the base, along with the silicone insert installed in a stable position within it, can rotate in relation to the bottom ring of the base. This allows the alignment of different wells of the silicone insert with different VPI Prosthetic Connection Inserts installed into the base of the mould.
Cervico Essential Mould
The Essential Cervico Mould is a simplified version of the Cervico Premium Mould that works without the use of the VPI Prosthetic Connection Inserts.
As per the premium mould you can fabricate Cervico healing abutments and customised impression posts by utilizing temporary prosthetic components, made out of titanium, or peek, or other suitable material asthey come availableby the implant companies.
The Essential mould incorporates wells with shapes that replicate the shape of the root trunk of different groups of teeth: a (anterior), p (premolars), m1(lower molars), m2 (upper molars). Each shape is available in three sizes: S (small), M (medium), L(large) as well as in two options of symmetry:
Centred (c) and off-centred (o).
